There are a lot of digital marketing strategies out there. How do you know which one to use or which one to start with, especially if you are starting off?
Today, I am going to break down 3 strategies that work.
1- The money is in the list. You have to collect Emails if you do marketing. When someone visits your website, there is a slim chance that he or she is going to buy something from you because:
1- They do not know you.
2- They do not know your product or services
3- They do not know how good are your products or services
Thinking of asking someone to give you their email address seems that there will be some kind of keeping in contact. When there is some commitment, then it is easier to progress.
Using tools like HelloBar, you can collect emails. When you have someone on your list, you can pitch them on products and services overtime. Now and then, give advice, help them out, create educational content. Some of the people on the list will convert and become customers.
2- Landing pages. Have you ever taken a kid into a candy store full of different types and shapes of candies?
It is really hard for a kid to decide because there are too many offers. If you take the kid to a store where there is only one type of candy, it is very easy for the kid to decide and pick up that candy.
The same goes with your marketing. If someone visits your website and there are multiple options, it makes difficult for them to decide what to buy. You need to have a page to each product separately. This is called a landing page. When someone lands on that page it advises them to buy that product. You can use tools like ConvertKit to create landing pages.
3- Upsells. When you go to McDonalds and you order fries, they will likely ask if you want a larger size. They will advise that it does not cost more, just only 10 cents more. You may think hi this is a good deal. Or if you order a burger, they will say hi do you need a meal with drinks and fries? This is one of the key strategies of McDonalds success because it is easier to generate money from your existing customers than to generate money from new sales. Amazon also uses this strategy. They suggest that someone who buys this item also buys that item. They want to keep you spending more and more.
The easiest way to make your digital marketing profitable is to add upsells and downsells.
